Europhotometeo 2024: enter now

The EMS is pleased to announce its 2024 European photo competition dedicated to clouds or other meteorological phenomena. Any person that would like to participate can submit a photo: the photo must have been taken by the submitting author.

Competion rules in short

• The competition is open to any person that would like to participate. Each author can submit one photo, which must have been taken by the submitting author.
• The Europhotometeo 2024 competition offers cash prizes for the top-three photos:
  First Prize:    1000€
  Second Prize: 500€
  Third Prize:     250€.
• The deadline for registration and upload of photos is 15 January 2024.
• Only digital photos specifically related to clouds or other meteorological phenomena taken within 2022 or 2023 will be accepted.
• All submissions to EPM2024 are copyrighted under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 licence (link: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/); authors can choose a more restrictive licence.
  Photos must not infringe the copyright of any third party, or the right of a person on its own image.
• All photos must be uploaded to the EPM2024 website; registration with the author’s full name and email-address is required.

The timeline

• 15 November 2023: Opening of the submisson phase
• 15 January 2024:  Last day for registration and submission of the photo
• 31 January 2024: End of admission phase
• 3 – 21 February 2024: Pre-selection
• 1 March 2024: Public gallery – public voting opens; at the same time: Jury voting
• 20 March 2024: Last day of public voting
• Early April 2024: publication of top ten photos and notification of the prize winners
