General Assembly
The main body of the Society is the General Assembly of representatives of the Member Societies. It convenes at least once a year and decides on constitutional and financial matters of the Society, hears the report of the Council and the statement of the Society’s auditor. Ten Members constitute a quorum. All Associate Members are eligible to attend the General Assembly as observer.
The 26th EMS General Assembly was held on 1 September 2024, on the eve of the EMS Annual Meeting 2024 in Barcelona. At the Assembly, the EMS made a pledge to become Net Zero by 2040. Find out more about this pledge.
