PhD position: Understanding of the regional climate variability in connection with solar energy resources in Subsahelian zone of West Africa

Closing date: not specified
Institut des Géosciences de l’Environnement, Grenoble, France
The proposed PhD work will aim at i) characterizing the synoptic environment associated with each of the cloud systems present in the sub-Sahel; the re-analyses will be used for this purpose; ii) analyzing the WRF-NEMO regional climate model outputs, provided by IPSL, to evaluate the capacity of the model to reproduce such cloud systems.
