Jaakko Nuottokari

Jaakko Nuottokari is the Head of Customer Services Unit at the Finnish Meteorological Institute. His responsibilities include leadership on customer management and internal R&D activities leading to added value for all FMI customers. He leads the commercial interface to companies using FMI weather, climate, sea and space services and to all FMI stakeholders. He is an expert member in the ICAO Meteorology Panel and a board member at ITS Finland.

Jaakko holds a Licentiate of Science degree from the University of Helsinki in Meteorology and began his career as an aviation weather forecaster. Since then he has worked at the Bureau of Meteorology of Australia in Melbourne, WMO in Geneva and NCAR in Boulder.
