The 31st Nordic Meteorological Meeting

The 31st Nordic Meteorological Meeting (NMM31) will take place in Reykjavík, Iceland on 18-20 June 2018. The meeting is organised by the Icelandic Meteorological Society in cooperation with the University of Iceland and the Icelandic Meteorological Office. The Nordic Meteorological Meeting is a biennual conference that is organised by the Nordic countries and open to anyone interested in Nordic meteorology.

This time it is a 3-day conference, including a half-day excursion Western Iceland. A special student session is planned, with shorter presentations, offering an excellent opportunity for students to present their work and meet scientists and forecasters, as well as other students, in a friendly environment. The EMS is offering one Young Scientist Travel Award for attendance of the NMM31; for details see the travel awards site.

The conference will feature sessions on various meteorological, climate and climate change related topics, with a number of specially invited keynote speakers. Contributions on all aspects of Nordic meteorology and climatology are welcome.

The deadline for abstracts is the 1st of April and registration is already open.
