WSL focuses on the sustainable use and protection of the environment and on the handling of natural hazards. WSL employs approximately 600 people, of whom 140 work at SLF in Davos.

The group Hydrology and Climate Impacts in Mountain Regions at the WSL Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research SLF in Davos and the Department of Environmental Systems Science at ETH Zurich studies water and climate extremes in mountain regions under global change.

They are looking for a postdoc who would like to work on compound climate/hydrologic extremes for the next 2-3 years. The position is open-topic, which means that there is a lot of room for the candidate’s own ideas. The candidate should have a vision for a 2(3)-year project that aligns both with their expertise/interests and the research focus of our group, that is, the topic should be in the broad area of (compound) water and climate extremes. The start date is quite flexible.
