The geomagnetic storm is a very interesting space weather phenomena that is capable to typically create such poetic beauty as the Aurora Borealis. On the other hand, it also poses a substantial threat to our modern technology-based society and everyday life.
In our presentation we will cover all the fundamental aspects of a geomagnetic storm and its impact on the Earth environment.
We will also discuss several historical geomagnetic storm events and we will outline the available and future defence options against a possible massive geomagnetic storm.
