Srinidhi Gadde

Srinidhi Gadde is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geosciences, Faculty, ITC, University of Twente, the Netherlands since 2023. He specialises on numerical modelling of atmospheric turbulence with large eddy simulations, meteorological observations, and remote sensing. He studied Fluid mechanics at Indian Institute of Technology Madras receiving a Master’s degree in 2017. Srinidhi obtained his PhD on a thesis on “large eddy simulations of stratified atmospheric boundary layers and its interaction with wind farms”  from University of Twente in 2021. Subsequently, he did a Postdoctoral research on Polar climate modelling with specific focus on modelling blowing snow processes on surface mass balance of Antarctica. In his current job, he focusses on urban meteorology where his work combines regional and microclimate modelling with large eddy simulations, hyperspectral remote sensing, urban turbulence observations with eddy-covariance and Scintillometry.
