Kristína Szabóová

Kristína Szabóová is a climatologist at the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMÚ) and a PhD candidate in Environmental Physics and Meteorology at the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics, Comenius University in Bratislava. Her research focuses on biometeorology, particularly human thermal comfort, as well as climate modelling and agrometeorological processes such as soil temperature, soil freezing and soil moisture. She is also interested in data visualisation and map creation, which she uses to communicate scientific results clearly and effectively.

Kristína is actively involved in international research cooperation and currently serves as project manager of the DanubeADAPT project, which aims to strengthen climate change adaptation and knowledge exchange across the Danube region. Her work includes coordinating partners, managing project activities and supporting the dissemination of scientific results.

She is a very active participant in national and international scientific conferences and has attended several EMS Annual Meetings. Kristína strongly values collaboration, knowledge exchange and interdisciplinary learning. She particularly values networking opportunities and being actively engaged in the meteorological community, especially among early-career scientists.
