Gunilla Svensson is Professor of Meteorology at Stockholm University, Stockholm, Sweden. He research  interest range from turbulence affecting cloud droplet growth to the global scale circulation. She studies small-scale processes, such as turbulence and clouds, and how they are modeled in global climate and numerical weather prediction models in combination with observations. A focus area is the Arctic weather and climate and climate change. She is internationally engaged as a member of the science steering group of the WWRP Polar Prediction Project and the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) for ECMWF. (photo: Stockholms Universitet)
