Filip Bukowski

Filip Bukowski is a meteorological officer working for impact communication at Met Éireann in Ireland. His MSc studies explored interactions between the weather and activity planning according to the forecast.

As an Early Careers Scientists he attended EMS Annual Meeting for the first time in 2024, and upon that experience, started building connections with other communicators, forecasters, broadcasts meteorologists and researchers. His interest lies in collaboration and harmonizing European and global knowledge that explores warnings, social media, TV forecasts, events, mobile phone apps dissemination and lived observational practice.

Filip co-leads the voluntary Community of Practice “MetComms”, together with Valentina Grasso. The Community is open to all practitioners and researchers interested in weather and impact communications.
