Federico Fierli

Federico Fierli is Senior Scientist, associate professor University of Rome-2 and team lead at EUMETSAT with a multiform working experience in research and international organizations all around Europe.

His science background includes both scientific and technical aspects in atmospheric composition, meteorology, focusing on key processes for climate, with solid experimental experience from conceiving instrumentation to leading research campaigns and experience in modelling and data assimilation.

Key results were obtained in dynamics of pollutants and convection in the tropical atmosphere, polar stratosphere, emissions and climate change in the Mediterranean basin. Federico has a strong involvement in working with users, networking, training and communication. This was implemented in the Copernicus context with strong relation with key partners in Europe.
