Postdoc Position – WRF Modeling for Renewable Energy

Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is recruiting postdoctoral scientists with the goal of improving tools for intra-day and day ahead forecasts of both the solar and wind resource. The successful candidate will perform analysis of observations and design and execute modeling experiments using the WRF and/or WRF/LES model that will be used to improve the understanding of turbulent inflow to wind plants and the development and testing of new and improved parameterizations, including uncertainty quantification. A successful candidate will join a team of researchers with a broad range of interests and expertise and is expected to publish his/her work in peer reviewed journals.
