Postdoc position in the field of stratospheric ozone recovery

The Stream Group islooking for a postdoctoral researcher to carry out research funded by the Spanish National Project RecO3very (Stratospheric Ozone recovery in the Northern Hemisphere under climate change) on the coupling between stratospheric ozone layer recovery and stratospheric dynamics, in the context of climate change.

The successful candidate will work at the Earth Physics and Astrophysics Department of Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain), within the active UCM research group Stream (Stratospheric and Tropospheric REsearch And Modeling, http://stream-ucm.es/).
The candidates must have a Doctoral Degree in Earth Sciences, Physics, Engineering or related fields. It is highly recommended that they have published in peer-reviewed journals and /or presented their work at international conferences. A good level in English and programming skills in a scientific software (Matlab, Python, R, …) are required.

  • Duration: 2 years starting in September 2023 (some flexibility is possible)
  • Annual gross salary: 34.000 €
