Position in coupled ice sheet-climate modeling

Applications are invited for a position in coupled ice sheet-climate modeling at the University of Bergen. The initial employment period is 20 months.

This project will analyze simulations with the Norwegian Earth System Model NorESM, coupled to an ice dynamics model for the Greenland ice sheet (CISM). The university is looking for a person that is also interested in contributing to the development of this system together with local and international collaborators. This position is part of the large Norwegian collaborative research project KeyCLIM with the objective to lay the foundation for the next generation NorESM and affiliated with the Bjerknes Centre, a vibrant hub for climate research in Northern Europe.

The closing date for applications is 9 August 2021. Applicants must hold a PhD. Start of employment should be in the second half of 2021.
