Closing date: 1 December 2021

Four funded Ph.D. positions with four years contract are opening at the Department of Atmospheric Physics at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic.

The projects aim at

  • Local precipitation responses to large-scale teleconnections in the climate system
  • Interactions and causality in spatial and temporal scales of atmospheric dynamics
  • Analysis and identification of conditions for the occurrence of sudden stratospheric warmings
  • Atmospheric contaminant dispersion in built-up areas in complex atmospheric conditions

Ph.D. candidates will be funded partly from the mentioned projects and partly as a regular monthly stipend with about 1000-1500 EUR/month total income (the stipendium is gradually increased during the study).
