PhD position in climate variability and predictability

The theoretical meteorology group at the University of Hamburg invites applications for a PhD position in climate variability and predictability.
The position is a part of the University of Hamburg Cluster of Excellence “Climate, Climatic Change, and Society” (CLICCS), https://www.cliccs.uni-hamburg.de
The research focus is on the scale-dependent behaviour of extreme events in changing climate using large-ensemble climate simulations.
Candidates with an interest in geophysical fluid dynamics and enthusiasm for numerical modelling, holding a master degree in atmospheric sciences, physics, mathematics or related fields are invited to read the attached position announcement and, if interested, apply before 19 April 2019.
