Assistant Professor in Atmospheric Science with focus on dynamical processes

The Department of Meteorology at Stockholm University seeks to appoint an Assistant Professor in atmospheric science, with focus on dynamical processes. This is a tenure-track position, leading to promotion to tenured Associate Professor after no more than six years subject to successful completion of a merit review. Candidates who have received their PhD degree less than five years before the closing date will receive highest priority in the selection process.
The scope of the search is broad, open to candidates with expertise in atmospheric dynamical processes at any space-time scale relevant to weather or climate, using theoretical, numerical, observational or statistical approaches. Applications should include a detailed discussion of the candidate’s research achievements as well as a forward-looking statement of their research plans and a description of teaching experience and pedagogic reflection, as described in the link below. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an active, externally-funded research program involving supervision of graduate students and/or postdocs, and to engage in the department’s teaching programme.
