4-yr funded PhD on Building the evidence around risks and actions on thunderstorm asthma

There is an opportunity to apply for a PhD (25/26 entry) on thunderstorm asthma and climate change, working with Ben Wheeler, Helen Macintyre, and Mat Collins.

The research will focus on strengthening understanding of the current and likely future epidemiology of thunderstorm asthma under climate change scenarios, build understanding of the links to thunderstorm events, and the role of other potential exacerbating factors. It will inform development of public health advice to reduce risks.

You will be part of the ECEHH European Centre for Environment and Human Health at the University of Exeter on the amazing Penryn campus in Cornwall. The PhD is also within a wider collaboration working on climate change and health, and is affiliated with GW4 BioMed MRC Doctoral Training Partnership
