2 PhD positions in atmospheric selenium research
ETH Zurich and Eawag, Zurich, Switzerland
Closing date not provided
The Inorganic Environmental Geochemistry group at ETH Zurich and Eawag, Switzerland, is looking for two highly motivated and curious PhD students with a strong interest in biogeochemical processes. The research positions aim at improving the understanding of atmospheric transformation pathways that govern the chemical form (speciation) of the essential micronutrient selenium in atmospheric dry and wet deposition fluxes to surface environments.
The two projects are closely linked: one project focuses on field sampling and lab analyses, and the other on process-based and statistical modeling. Both positions are fixed-term with funding secured for 4 years. Envisaged starting date is as soon as possible, but no later than early spring 2026.
