Free live stream of EMS2025 Opening & Keynotes

Last preparations for the EMS2025 are currently ongoing. We are already looking forward to welcoming you in Ljubljana in a few days. The theme of the this years conference is: “Growing use of AI/ML in atmospheric sciences and meteorological applications”

After our record year for the 25th anniversary with over 1000 abstracts last year in Barcelona, we expect some 650 presentations this year. Numerous side events will be taking place as well.

As registered participant, online or onsite, you can already access any pre-uploaded display material. You are presenting yourself? Please upload your final presentation at least 24 hours before your presentation and provide some display material so that other participants can have a look at your work.

Live stream of Opening plenaries & Keynotes

The opening programme on Monday 8 September 2025 will be freely accessible to all interested persons. The live stream will appear directly on the EMS2025 homepage. The plenaries will start off with a panel discussion on “Harnessing AI: Transforming Early Warning Systems and Flood Prediction”, at 16:00 (CEST), followed by the Award session with the Silver Medal lecture. After the Strategic lecture by Matjaž Ličer the afternoon will close off with the revelation of the winner of the Harry Otten Prize 2025.

After the conference, we will publish recordings of all presentations again this year, if the speakers have agreed to this.
