The MedCLIVAR Network is pleased to announce the MedCLIVAR 2026 Conference, which will take place in Limassol, Cyprus, 21-25 September 2026.

The conference will continue the MedCLIVAR series dedicated to Mediterranean climate variability and predictability, from past to future, and its links with the global climate system.

The scientific programme will cover a broad range of topics, including:

Mediterranean atmospheric dynamics and synoptic weather
Water cycle and precipitation
Regional warming and temperature extremes
Urban climate and weather
Compound hazards and concurrent extremes in the Mediterranean
Ocean dynamics, sea-level rise and biogeochemical risks
Climate variability and change in the Global Mediterranean climates
Mediterranean paleo-climate reconstructions
Climate mitigation and adaptation strategies in the Mediterranean
Multi-hazard early warning systems Atmospheric composition, aerosols, air quality and climate interactions

Invited are abstracts for oral and poster presentations from researchers working on all aspects of Mediterranean climate, including atmospheric, marine and terrestrial components, and across time scales from paleoreconstructions to future climate scenarios.
