IIASA Summer School for Systems Modeling 2026

IIASA’s Summer School on Systems Modeling is a 2-Week, hands-on course at IIASA on 29 June-10 July 2026, aiming to equip participants with a solid understanding of modeling practices and limitations of models. Applications are due by 26 February 2026.

The course is designed for Master’s, PhD and post-doctoral researchers who wish to use or develop models broadly related to the sustainability agenda. The goal is to equip participants with a solid understanding of modeling practices and limitations of models. The program provides a guided experience and practice in collaborative, team-science systems modeling.  Many examples will be taken from IIASA’s portfolio of tools and methods, ranging from ecological and socio-economic systems models to integrated assessment tools related to energy, air, water, biodiversity, and food.

The IIASA Website offers more details on the Summer School for Systems Modeling Program, Application process and Location and Accommodation. Applicants are asked for a succinct motivation statement and CV. Successful applicants will be notified by the end of March.
