ESMValTool Webinar and online workshop
Introduction to ESMValTool: a tool for evaluation of climate model data – Webinar and Workshop
Webinar: June 13th 10:00-11:30 CEST
Workshop: June 27th afternoon 13:00-17:00 CEST
The Earth System Model Evaluation Tool is a tool developed for evaluation of Earth System Models in CMIP (Climate Model Intercomparison Projects). It allows for routine comparison of single or multiple models, either against predecessor versions or against observations. It was developed especially to support climate model researchers, however, results from ESMValTool may also be useful for a broader range of users, especially those working on climate impacts and climate adaptation. E.g. results of already performed evaluations could be helpful to check which climate models have a relatively large change in climate and which not, or to determine which climate models have a relatively small bias for the climate variables of interest, in the relevant region of interest.
