Abstract

Science is not only a multicultural effort but also multi-generational! It relies on the distribution and communication of knowledge. However, as scientists we tend to talk a lot about our research and less about the so-called ‘soft skills’, e.g. how to give an inspiring presentation, how to work effectively in a team or how to prepare best for the next conference.

In this session of the EMS webinar series we will hear the secret advice of four successful early career scientists. What would they have liked to know a few years ago, before attending there first ever conference? Or what did they just learn recently, that enhanced their work, attitude or visibility in the science world?
