CNR-ISAC Summer school 2025
The CNR-ISAC Summer School 2025 organized by CNR-ISAC in Castro Marina (southern Italy) from 30 June to 4 July 2025 is entitled “Severe Weather in a Changing Climate“.
The school, this year co-organized with the Polytechnic University of Marche and the University of Genoa, will take place at the Hotel Orsa Maggiore (http://www.orsamaggiore.it/).
The lectures will focus on:
- Atmospheric rivers (Marty Ralph – Scripps Institution of Oceanography – University of California San Diego)
- Downbursts and storm gust fronts (Diordje Romanic – Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, MCGill University, Montreal, Canada)
- Experimental simulation of downbursts and their impact on structures (Amal Elawady – Florida International University, Miami, USA)
- Forecasting extreme weather events (Luca Delle Monache – Scripps Institution of Oceanography – University of California San Diego)
- Remote sensing and severe weather (Leo Pio D’Adderio – CNR-ISAC, Rome, Italy)
