CliMathNet workshop “Mathematics of the Economy and Climate”
The workshop “Mathematics of the Economy and Climate” will be held at Kontakt der Kontinenten in Soesterberg, the Netherlands. It is a thematic workshop organized by the Universities of Sydney and Utrecht in collaboration with the Centre for Complex Systems Studies (CCSS, Utrecht) and CliMathNet.
The aim of this collaborative workshop is to gather Climate Scientists, Mathematicians and Economists to address key questions around ongoing climate change and its connections with the development of economic systems. The workshop will address problems related to mathematical modelling, uncertainty quantification and prediction in the coupled climate-economy system. It will highlight interactions between both components and also future policy options (e.g. geoengineering) to limit climate change below dangerous thresholds. There will be ample time for discussion during the workshop in order to facilitate the development of joint projects.
There is no registration deadline but the number of participants is limited to 40 participants.
