10th Symposium on Tropical Cyclone Risk
Registration is now open for the Symposium on Tropical Cyclone Risk. This is the 10th symposium in the series. Please see www.tcrisk.org for information on the Symposium on Tropical Cyclone Risk: 7 – 11 June 2027, at Monte Verità, Switzerland.
The main objective of the Symposium is to foster communication between scientists, engineers, and practitioners to increase understanding of and find improved ways to deal with tropical cyclone risks. This Symposium differs from a traditional conference in that there is greater time allocated for each speaker to present and have Q and A in order to obtain greater depth to the discussion, as well as panel discussions and a poster session. The symposium has a greater emphasis on networking to bring participants together for future collaborations. Participants interact during the course of the symposium in one meeting room and have further discussions over daily organized group lunches, dinners, and a networking fieldtrip.
It is recommended to register and book accommodation early at one of our two conference hotels to secure a place in our block of reserved rooms at the rate negotiated.
- Abstract submission deadline: 30 September 2026
- Deadline application student award: 30 September 2026
It is recommended to submit early as program Chairs will provide an acceptance decision early which may be particularly helpful for your planning, for example, if you need this acceptance to get a VISA or if you are seeking funds from your university as examples. The exact form of presentation (poster or oral) will not be confirmed until the program is available unless program Chairs have reached out specifically ahead of time to invite you to present an oral talk or poster.
