EMS Webinar series
How it all started …
How to improve exchange of experience between the EMS Members was given much space for discussion at the EMS General Assembly in September 2023, and the Spanish Meteorological Society (AME) had proposed to hold regular online meetings/webinars that could provide additional opportunities for exchange during the year, between the annual General Assemblies and Annual Meetings – based on the great experience of similar events organized by AME at the national level.
The first series of EMS Webinars were held in spring 2024, with five very different, but all highly interesting topics and great speakers. We thank all our speakers again for their commitment to provide these presentations. The EMS General Assembly in September 2024 decided to continue the event for one more year and evaluation the success and perspective at the GA in September 2025.
New Webinars planned for 2026

- 10 June 2026: Your secret advice for the EMS Annual Meeting – a panel discussion moderated by Julia Thomas, KIT Karlsruhe
- 11 November 2026: Atmospheric Science from Satellites – Focus on Trace Gases and Aerosol Effects on Climate, by Daniele Bortoli, Department of Physics and Institute of Earth Sciences (ICT) at the University of Évora.
