EUMETSAT: Training Officer (Atmospheric Composition Applications)

EUMETSAT is recruiting for a training officer with a good knowledge of remote sensing applications and how atmospheric composition products derived from satellite data are used in science-based operational applications.

The plan is to focus the training activity on the needs of the user community, ensuring the support for changes in how the products are used in science-based operational activities.  You will build relationships with key stakeholders and partners to establish their needs and then identify methodologies to provide thematic leadership on potential application areas.  You will build and develop global networks, leveraging the relationships with users helping to expand their knowledge and understanding of atmospheric composition products and their real-life applications.

You will apply your expertise in remote sensing to prepare the users for current and future satellite systems. This is a fantastic opportunity to influence EUMETSAT’s scientific training programme and become involved in international projects, ensuring the users improve their capacity and capability to exploit our data and develop a deeper understanding of the world’s climate.
