As observations from satellites become more sophisticated, EUMETSAT is looking for a scientist with experience of processing data from space-bourne passive microwave instruments to join the team.
EUMETSAT’s experts are monitoring, delivering and interpreting data from satellites. The information is used to forecast weather, sea temperatures and air quality. This use of technology is vital to everyday life. You will have the opportunity to use your knowledge of passive microwave remote sensing physics to drive the scientific development, validation and quality monitoring from the sounders and images of EUMETSAT’s satellites. You will have extensive experience of coding scientific application software and enjoy working with user and research communities. You will be comfortable keeping the scientific and technical documents up to date.
You will bring excellent communication and team working skills. EUMETSAT is a fast paced, operational organisation, working with users and partners. You will be core to defining the requirements for products and services for future missions.
