EMS2026 in Utrecht – abstracts until 27 March

The Annual Meeting 2026 of the EMS will take place as a hybrid event at the Jaarbeurs conference center in Utrecht, The Netherlands & online from 6 to 11 September 2026. The local hosts are Nederlandse Vereniging ter bevordering van de Meteorologie, Koninklijk Nederlands Meteorologisch Instituut, Wageningen University and TU Delft.

The Programme and Science Committee together with convenors has developed a session programme that will offer many opportunities for collaboration across the entire weather and climate enterprise. We invite the community to join us for discussions and networking.

We would like to thank everyone for the large number of new session proposals and the Programme and Science Committee for developing the final session programme. The call for abstracts is now open.

Submit your abstract until 27 March 2026 to contribute to the Annual Meeting.

The programmatic focus this year is Delta Climate in Europe: weather, water, and warnings – Advancing Atmospheric Science, Water Management, and Societal Preparedness in a Changing European Climate
