EMS2024 is coming up …
Last preparations for the EMS2024 are currently ongoing. We are already looking forward to welcoming you in Barcelona in a few days. We are celebrating 25 years EMS this year and the theme of the conference is: The role of weather and climate research in the achievement of a climate-neutral Europe.
With more abstracts than at every other EMS Annual Meeting before, the programme will feature more than 1000 presentations, one third of them posters. Numerous side events will be taking place as well.

As registered participant, online or onsite, you can already access any pre-uploaded display material related to an author’s work and presentation, comment on this and thus get already in exchange with the presenter(s). For more details see the EMS2024 meeting format.
You are presenting yourself? Please upload your presentation at least 24 hours before the the start of your session, and add any display material.
Live stream of opening plenary sessions
The opening programme on Monday 2 September 2024 will be freely accessible to all interested persons. The live stream will appear directly on the EMS2024 homepage. The plenaries will start off with a panel discussion on 25 years of EMS – the past, the present, the future, at 16:30 (CEST), followed by the Award session with the Silver Medal lecture. The afternoon will end with the Strategic lecture by Ana Romero Càlix.

EMS@25 and EMS2024 Welcome video
On Sunday 1 September, we will publish a welcome video on the EMS YouTube Channel with the Welcome & Addresses of the hosts, as well as many inspiring interviews with some of our collaborators and many committed individuals who have shaped the EMS over the last 25 years. Don’t miss this.
