EMS Tromp Award for biometeorology 2026: nominations invited

Deadline for applications: 20 April 2026

The EMS Tromp Award for an outstanding achievement in biometeorology is presented to a scientist for an excellent scientific paper in the field of biometeorology. The paper must have been published in an international peer-reviewed journal with the nominee as first author, between 1 January 2024 and 20 April 2026.

The nomination may be made by scientists themselves or by anybody working in the field of biometeorology.

The Tromp Foundation (Foundation for Biometeorological Research) is offering 1,500€ and a free registration to attend the EMS Annual Meeting 2026 in September in Utrecht. The awardee will be highlighted during the EMS Annual Meeting Awards ceremony in Utrecht and asked to give an award lecture in a topically suitable session

Funds to support conference attendance of you scientists

The Tromp Foundation also supports early career scientists who present papers in the area of biometeorology at EMS Annual Meetings. Find out about terms for  the Tromp foundation travel award to young scientists (TFTAYS) in 2026 for the event in Utrecht.

Application is through the abstract submission for the EMS2026, the application deadline is 27 March 2026.
