The signing took place during the AMS Annual Meeting in Houston, Texas on 27 January 2026, by the EMS President Liz Bentley and the KMS President Cheol-Hee Kim.
The agreement includes that we aim to report on activities of the partner Society from time to time, encourage collaboration on topics associated with advancing the enterprise associated with each Society, to include email exchanges, joint meetings, or other agreed mechanisms, encourage meteorological scientists and technological workers, especially students and those in the early part of their career, to actively participate in professional and scientific exchange activities.
Since years, many scientists from South Korea regularly attend the EMS Annual Meetings, with growing numbers, the latest meeting in Ljubljana was attended by 28 participants from the Republic of Korea and the collaboration will further develop with the signing of the MoU.
