Purpose & objectives: The Irish Meteorological Society aims at the promotion of an interest in Meteorology and the dissemination of meteorological knowledge, pure and applied. The Society includes members not only from Ireland but from all over the world who are interested in weather and weather related topics.
Main activities:
- Four or five lectures in the Spring and Autumn on meteorology or related topics
- Lectures usually on Thursday or Friday evenings in Dublin
- A field trip in May to a site of interest
- Production of an occasional Member's Newsletter
