GFL is a professional non-profit member organisation of the academic Trade Union AKAVA/JUKO/YKL in Finland. AKAVA negotiates all work life related issues for its members. GFL members are meteorologists, hydrologists, oceanographers, geographers, ... who are working mainly at the Finnish Meteorological Institute and the Finnish Environment Institute.
Main activities:
- Organisation of meeting, seminars and field trips
- Participation in international co-operation (EMS)
- "Daily" activities include to inform and provide support for GFL members in work-life and work related issues
