Purpose & objectives: The Icelandic Meteorological Society is open to all with a genuine interest for weather and related disciplines. The purpose of the society is to improve and deepen the knowledge of meteorology and related fields in Iceland.
Main activities:
- Organisation of three national afternoon meetings each year, where professional meteorologists and weather enthusiasts meet and share their interest in weather
- Organisation of lectures on research in meteorology and related fields given by both professionals and amateursbers
