Forum
Aims
With the launch of the EMS discussion forum we aim to
- provide a forum for the exchange on current issues and the future of meteorology in Europe and
- enable every single individual connected to the meteorological, hydrological, oceanic, climatological and related communities to participate in these discussions.
Themes
To encourage discussions on a broad range of related issues five themes have been selected for this forum:
- Planning of future conferences
- EMS Strategy & Discussion on the implementation of the strategy
- Hot topics – scientific issues, societal impact, recent weather anomalies ...
- Communicating information about weather and climate
- Open discussion
Under each of these broad themes different topics are discussed.
If you find a particular subject of your interest is not covered then you are invited to start a new discussion group by introducing a theme paper.
Rules
This forum provides the opportunity to get in contact and discuss with people interested in the same subject. It is not meant for commercial or private advertisements.
Any contribution that breaks the law of any European country is not welcome and will be deleted. The same applies to abusive and offensive material.
Contributions to the EMS Forum do not reflect the opinion of the European Meteorological Society.
