EMS2018: Call for abstracts

The EMS Annual Meeting: European Conference for Applied Meteorology and Climatology 2018 (EMS2018) will take place from 3 to 7 September 2018 the Corvinus University in the centre of Budapest, Hungary.

Conference Theme: Weather and climate: global change and local hazards.

Deadlines:
7 March 2018: abstract submission with applications for Young Scientist Travel Award (YSTA)
13 April 2018: abstract submission with application for registration fee waiver or Tromp foundation travel award to young scientists (TFTAYS)
13 April 2018: abstract submission

The session programme is organised in three streams:

  • Engagement with Society (ES)
  • Operational Systems and Applications (OSA)
  • Understanding Weather & Climate Processes (UP)

Workshops:
Training workshops will be organised on Sunday 2nd September 2018, the early-bird registration deadline for these is 5 June 2018:

  • Geo-web services for climate and meteorological services
  • Introduction to the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model for beginners

Facilities will be available for groups wishing to hold side meetings. An online side meeting request form will be available shortly.
