January 30 – February 3: Use and interpretation of ECMWF products (for trainers and training champions)
February 6-10: Use and interpretation of ECMWF products
February 27 – March 2: ecCodes: GRIB data decoding and encoding software
March 6-9: ecCodes: BUFR data decoding and encoding software
March 13-17: Advanced Numerical Methods for Earth-System modelling
March 20-24: Introduction to ECMWF computing facilities, services and the Meteorological Archival and Retrieval System (MARS)
March 20-24: Parametrization of subgrid physical processes
March 27-31: Data assimilation
April 3-7: Assimilation of satellite data (EUMETSAT/ECMWF NWP SAF Training Course)
May 8-12: Predictability and ocean-atmosphere ensemble forecasting
Courses are free to attend for anyone working or studying in a member or cooperating state of ECWMF.
Participants come from a range of backgrounds, including those working at met services and those studying for Masters or Doctoral level degrees.
